A Positive Step Forward for Taekwondo with the UKTDC Leading the Way
We are pleased to share some very positive news that highlights the continued leadership and influence of the UKTDC in shaping the future of Taekwondo in the UK.
Over past years, the UKTDC has played a significant role in helping to modernise and improve the wider Taekwondo landscape. It was the UKTDC that first prompted UK Sport to commission the Concise Situation Report examining the structure of Taekwondo across the country. It was also the UKTDC that successfully challenged the restrictive Memorandum of Understanding between the BTC and BTCB, which ultimately led to the removal of barriers preventing Kukkiwon and WT practitioners from joining the BTC, the National Governing Body.
Today we have taken another positive step forward in allowing BT members to participate in our UKTDC events should they so wish.
This represents another important development in creating a more open, cooperative and inclusive environment for Taekwondo practitioners. It also demonstrates once again that the UKTDC is prepared to take constructive leadership in building bridges and creating opportunities that benefit the wider Taekwondo community.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the UKTDC and the positive role it plays within the sport.
